Château Lynch Bages Pauillac 5cc. 2010 0,75l

Château Lynch-Bages is one of Pauillac’s best-known Fifth Growths, with a large single block of vines on the Bages plateau. Deep Günz-era gravels over clay and sand are planted mainly with Cabernet Sauvignon, backed by Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, and the vineyard is farmed sustainably. Grapes are picked by hand, fermented plot by plot and aged in a high proportion of new French oak barrels. The bouquet offers ripe cassis, blackberry and plum with tobacco, cedar and graphite. On the palate Lynch-Bages is powerful and dense but also generous, with firm yet ripe tannins, fresh acidity and a long finish that promises excellent ageing potential.
