For Connoisseurs: Ch.Trottevieille Saint Emilion from St.Emilion
Château Trottevieille is a Premier Grand Cru Classé of Saint‑Émilion, with a single‑block vineyard on clay‑limestone slopes just east of the village. Merlot and cabernet franc dominate the plantings, complemented by a small share of cabernet sauvignon, including very old vines. The nose reveals ripe cherry, dark berries and plum alongside violets, spices, tobacco and subtle oak. On the palate it is precise, silky and firmly structured, with vivid acidity and fine‑grained tannins. A long, mineral, gently spicy finish underlines its class and makes it an elegant match for lamb, veal, game birds and refined French dishes.
