| Elsnegg’s Grauburgunder Ried Edelbach is a flagship Pinot Gris from a limestone-rich single vineyard above Gamlitz. The nose is complex and ripe, combining yellow orchard fruit with hints of dried dates, fig, melon, biscuit and subtle floral notes. On the palate, the wine is concentrated and mouth-filling yet firmly structured, with fine acidity, a gently creamy mid-palate and a long, saline, mineral finish. This powerful but refined style makes it an excellent match for veal, roasted poultry, mushroom risotto and flavourful fish dishes. It has the structure to gain further complexity with some years of careful cellaring. | |
