We design Vinofant so that content and functions are accessible with as few barriers as possible and are continuously improved.

This accessibility statement applies to the Vinofant online shop (including all subpages), in particular to product search, category pages, product detail pages, the shopping cart and checkout, as well as service pages.

Vinofant is an online shop for wine and spirits. Customers can search for products, filter them, select them, add them to the cart, and order online. In addition, we provide product information (e.g., origin, vintage, ingredients, and nutritional values) as well as service information (e.g., shipping, payment methods, and terms and conditions).

 

Legal basis and target standard

We follow the applicable requirements for digital accessibility for services in electronic commerce.
Our target standard is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, conformance level AA, as well as the European standard EN 301 549 (where applicable).

 

Compatibility with accessibility requirements

According to our current assessment, our website is largely compatible with the requirements mentioned above. Accessibility is an ongoing process: we review regularly, optimize existing content, and consider accessibility when introducing new features.

 

Accessibility measures

When designing and implementing Vinofant, particular emphasis was placed on a robust, assistive-technology-friendly implementation – including optimization for screen readers.


This includes in particular:

- a clear, consistent page structure and easy-to-understand navigation

- a meaningful heading hierarchy and content structure

- descriptive labels for key controls and forms

- clearly visible focus indication and keyboard operability for essential shop functions

- alternative text for key images (e.g., logo and product images) and understandable link texts

- content that is as clear and easy to read as possible (e.g., product texts, pricing, and shipping information)

 

Multilingual support and screen reader compatibility

Vinofant is available in multiple languages (German, English, Italian, French, and Spanish).
This helps users read and understand content in a familiar language. Important for assistive technologies: the language versions are implemented so that screen readers can correctly detect the language and read the content accordingly (if supported by the device/screen reader).

 

Non-accessible content

Despite great care, barriers may still exist in certain areas.

Known or possible limitations:
- The contact form includes a captcha. Depending on the usage situation, captchas can present a hurdle.
- Content or components from third-party providers (e.g., payment or shipping services) can partly affect accessible use without us being able to fully control all details. 

We are continuously working to reduce remaining barriers.
