Discover the character of Angerhof Tschida Schilfwein
Schilfwein from Angerhof Tschida is a regional speciality in which the grapes are dried on reed mats before pressing. This slow drying process concentrates sugar and flavour in a way similar to straw wine. On the nose it displays intense fruit aromas, jam-like notes, dried berries and subtle spice. The palate is rich and dense yet well structured, with supporting acidity and persistent sweetness. Despite its concentration it remains surprisingly drinkable thanks to the balance between fruit and freshness. A distinctive sweet red wine from Neusiedlersee that pairs particularly well with chocolate desserts and mature cheeses.
