Ch.Côte de Baleau St.Emilion – An experience for true connoisseurs
Château Côte de Baleau is a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé owned by the Cuvelier family. Around 17 hectares of vines grow on classic clay-limestone soils that form part of the Saint-Emilion plateau. The vineyard is dominated by Merlot with Cabernet Franc and a small proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon. Hand-picking, plot-by-plot vinification and sensitive oak ageing define the estate’s style. The bouquet reveals dark and red berries, cherry and a touch of blueberry with floral notes and gentle spice. On the palate Château Côte de Baleau is juicy and velvety, with ripe, fine-grained tannins, refreshing acidity and an elegant, terroir-driven finish.
