Cillar de Silos La Vina de Amalio – An experience for true connoisseurs
La Viña de Amalio from Cillar de Silos is a single‑vineyard tempranillo sourced from very old vines rooted in limestone soils around Quintana del Pidio. Plantings dating back to the 1960s give tiny, highly concentrated yields. The wine spends well over a year in French oak and opens with intense red and black berry fruit, wild cherry blossom, moist earth, sweet spice and subtle toast. On the palate La Viña de Amalio is silky, deep and powerful, with tightly woven ripe tannins and a core of cool, vibrant acidity. A remarkably long, mineral and spicy finish confirms its status as a top Ribera del Duero to pair with fine beef, lamb, game dishes and ambitious gastronomy.
