Discover the Character of Dame de Montrose Saint Estèphe
La Dame de Montrose is the second wine of the renowned Château Montrose in Saint-Estèphe, produced from the same gravelly vineyards overlooking the Gironde. Merlot usually leads the blend, supported by cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc and petit verdot that are vinified separately and matured in French oak. The bouquet opens with ripe red and black berries, cherry and cassis, intertwined with violet, cedar and a touch of tobacco. On the palate La Dame de Montrose is medium-bodied, silky and finely structured, showing polished tannins and bright, cooling acidity. A long, balanced finish with notes of graphite, spice and juicy red fruit makes this Saint-Estèphe a classic partner for steak, lamb, slow-cooked dishes and modern bistro cuisine. It lingers long and gracefully on the palate.
