BrandDomaine de Cambes
RegionEurope - France - Bordeaux - Right Bank - Libournais
CategoryWines - Red wine

For Connoisseurs: Domaine de Cambes Cotes de Bourg from Libournais
Domaine de Cambes is situated on the slopes facing the Gironde in the Côtes de Bourg and is part of the family of Roc de Cambes and Tertre Rôteboeuf. Deep clay- and limestone-based soils give a powerful Bordeaux style built on succulent merlot with a proportion of cabernet. The bouquet combines ripe cherry, blackberry and plum with hints of graphite, cedar, smoke and sweet spice. On the palate the wine is dense and silky yet vibrant, with ripe fine-grained tannins and refreshing acidity. Juicy dark fruit is carried by a cool mineral streak and a long, savoury finish. It is a characterful right-bank red that shines with grilled beef, roast lamb, slow-cooked stews and aged hard cheeses.
