It is distilled from carefully selected grape marc and then aged for several years in oak casks. The nose shows aromas of fresh grapes, plums, apricots and subtle toasted notes. On the palate it is warm and spicy yet remarkably smooth, with flavours of vanilla, chocolate, dried fruits and gentle wood. The texture is round and soft, with the alcohol beautifully integrated. Best enjoyed at room temperature in a tulip-shaped glass as a refined digestif or alongside strong cheeses and dark chocolate. | |
