Pansa Blanca is the local Alella name for Xarel·lo, one of Catalonia's most characterful white grape varieties. It is valued for dry white wines with citrus fruit, firm freshness, subtle herbal notes and a gently savoury, Mediterranean profile.Beyond Alella and nearby Catalan areas, the wider Xarel·lo family is closely associated with Penedès and traditional sparkling wine production.
