| Reisetbauer Zwetschkenbrand im Eichenfass is crafted from the traditional Hauszwetschke plum. The fruit is sourced from the estate’s own orchards and picked only when it is highly aromatic and concentrated. After careful fermentation the mash is double distilled and the spirit matured in oak. The bouquet is creamy and inviting, with notes of caramel pudding, light cocoa and ripe plum. On the palate it is soft, chocolatey and wonderfully balanced, with no trace of kernel bitterness. Fine tannins from the cask provide structure and length. A noble plum spirit best enjoyed neat as a contemplative after‑dinner treat. | |
