On the nose it shows melon, lime and grapefruit, joined by green apple, vineyard peach and a hint of fresh herbs. On the palate this Veltliner is slender, springy and straight, with lively acidity and a fine touch of fruit sweetness. Citrus notes, gentle peppery spice and delicate minerality highlight its light yet clearly varietal character. As a Wachau white, Stab is perfect as an aperitif and with salads, light fish dishes or simply on the terrace. | |
