Cachat Ocquidant Savigny Les Beaune Vieilles Vignes rot 2023 0,75l

Savigny‑lès‑Beaune Vieilles Vignes from Cachat-Ocquidant is sourced from old Pinot Noir vines in one of the most classic villages of the Côte de Beaune. The vineyards lie on mixed clay‑limestone soils around Savigny and produce a juicy, finely spiced red. The nose shows red and dark wild berries, black cherry and a hint of grapefruit peel, together with tobacco notes, herbal spice and a touch of smoke. On the palate, the wine is medium‑bodied, juicy and well balanced, with ripe, fine‑grained tannins and lively yet integrated acidity. Flavours linger on the tongue, revealing nuances of nougat and delicate toasted characters. The finish is elegant, moreish and driven by red fruit and savoury spice. A characterful Savigny that, with its balance of freshness and depth, makes a superb partner for beef, veal, poultry or mushroom‑based dishes.

The grape variety: Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir is a refined red grape known for red cherry, raspberry, floral notes, spice and silky tannins. It is most famous in Burgundy but thrives in many cool-climate regions.

It pairs beautifully with duck, roast chicken, mushrooms, salmon, pork and game birds. Its fascination lies in finesse, fragrance and the way it expresses origin. Pinot Noir
