Discover the character of Chapoutier Ermitage blanc Le Méal
M. Chapoutier Ermitage Le Méal Blanc comes from a steep, south-facing slope planted with very old marsanne vines on chalky gravel and stone. Farmed biodynamically, the parcel yields particularly ripe, concentrated fruit that gives a powerful yet finely etched white. The bouquet displays ripe pear, pineapple and stone fruit alongside floral, smoky and spicy notes. On the palate Le Méal is full-bodied, creamy and layered, with dense structure, well-judged acidity and marked minerality. A very long, savoury and slightly salty finish underlines its impressive ageing potential. It pairs beautifully with rich fish dishes, shellfish, veal, poultry and sauces with depth and creaminess.
