The bouquet reveals red and black berries, violets, iron and charcoal notes, with hints of smoked meat and graphite. On the palate Neve is compact, vertical and precise, with chiselled, fine-grained tannins and a cool, mineral core. The long, savoury, slightly saline finish makes it a demanding but rewarding partner for beef, lamb, game and richly flavoured stews. | |
