M.Chapoutier Cornas Lieu dit Saint Pierre 2022 0,75l
M. Chapoutier Cornas Lieu-dit Saint-Pierre comes from very steep, high-altitude granite terraces above the Rhône and is one of the domaine’s famed single-vineyard selections. The site is planted exclusively with syrah rooted in poor, stony soils, giving naturally low yields and great intensity. The bouquet offers blackcurrant, blackberry and dark plum alongside violets, black pepper, smoke and graphite-like minerality. On the palate the wine is dense, taut and yet silky, with firm, ripe tannins and invigorating freshness. A long, spicy, mineral finish marks this Cornas as a characterful partner for beef, lamb, game dishes and roasted winter vegetables.
In Northern Rhône, the Maison M. Chapoutier has shaped the Côtes du Rhône Nord since 1808—then rewrote its modern chapter in 1990 when Michel Chapoutier took the helm. Biodynamic farming, living soils and meticulous parcel work define their steep slopes from Hermitage to Saint‑Joseph and Cornas, on granite, rolled stones and clay‑limestone seams....
