Château de Musset

With Château de Musset in Lalande-de-Pomerol, in Bordeaux’s Libournais on the Right Bank, the story begins in patient family stewardship. The Foucard family acquired the estate in 1963; today its vineyard covers around 27 hectares, making it one of the notable properties of the appellation.

Close to the meeting of the Dordogne and Isle rivers, the vines draw their balance from a sunny, humid climate and a mosaic of gravelly clay, gravel and sand. Merlot naturally leads the vineyard, supported by the measured precision of cellar work refined since the construction of a new winery in 2000.

The estate’s language is Bordeaux in its most grounded form: disciplined vineyard work, respect for the AOP Lalande-de-Pomerol and wines shaped by origin rather than ornament. Each vintage carries the calm rhythm of Libourne, the Right Bank and a family craft built over decades.
