Château Duhart Milon

In the Médoc appellation of Pauillac, Château Duhart-Milon embodies a historic classified growth closely linked to Lafite. Wines from the Milon sector were already valued in the early 18th century, and the 1855 Classification placed the estate among the Quatrièmes Grands Crus Classés. Acquired by Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite in 1962, the property was progressively rebuilt and its vineyard identity restored.

The vines occupy the Milon hillside west of Château Lafite Rothschild, extending the Carruades plateau. Quaternary sandy gravel, with varying proportions of stones, sand and clay, gives the site its geological framework. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot form the core of the vineyard, while precise parcel selection guides the work from harvest to cellar. Depending on the vintage, élevage continues for months in oak barrels. A renovated, more energy-efficient winery and extensive agroecological development bring a contemporary dimension to this classic Pauillac terroir.
