Château La Mission Haut-Brion Pessac-Léognan rouge gcc. 2020 0,75l
Château La Mission Haut‑Brion sits in Talence opposite Haut‑Brion and cultivates about 29 hectares of vines. Almost 25 hectares are devoted to red grapes – Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc – rooted in gravel over a sandy‑clay subsoil. This terroir gives powerful yet deeply mineral expressions of Pessac‑Léognan. The bouquet reveals blackberry, blueberry and cassis alongside tobacco, black tea, spice and subtle toast. On the palate La Mission Haut‑Brion is dense and concentrated, with silky ripe tannins, cool freshness and a long, complex finish marked by smoky, earthy notes.
Eighteen months in barriques with a high proportion of new oak give the wine power, spice and a distinctive, dense structure.
