Château Potensac

At Château Potensac in Ordonnac, in the northern Médoc, the Delon family preserves one of the Left Bank’s most dependable voices. The estate has been in family hands for generations and belongs to Domaines Delon, alongside names such as Léoville Las Cases and Nénin, yet Potensac remains entirely Médoc: sober, precise and long-lived.

About 60 hectares of vines occupy rolling mounds with limestone subsoil, covered by clay, gravel and graves. Parts of this terroir recall Saint-Estèphe; old parcels of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, some over 80 years old, give backbone, while Merlot brings volume and Petit Verdot line.

Potensac is not a classified monument, but a proof of origin. Strict selection, Left Bank blending, classic élevage and the cool freshness of the Médoc create a style that does not beg for attention, but has built trust over decades.
