Château La Croix Saint Louis Lalande de Pomerol 2000 0,75l

BrandChâteau La Croix Saint Louis
RegionEurope - France - Bordeaux - Right Bank - Pomerol
CategoryWines - Red wine

Château La Croix Saint Louis comes from the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation just north of Pomerol and is dominated by merlot. The vines grow on gravel and clay, combining ripeness with a certain freshness. On the nose the wine offers red and dark berries, plum and a touch of graphite, wrapped in discreet toasted and vanilla notes from barrel ageing. The palate is round and juicy, with supple, ripe tannins and well-integrated acidity. A gentle yet persistent finish underlines its classical Bordeaux charm. It is an elegant partner for entrecôte, lamb, roast poultry and hearty brasserie dishes. A few years of bottle age add further complexity and an even silkier mouthfeel.
