| Ch.La Tour Figeac Saint Emilion – An Experience for True Connoisseurs | |
| Château La Tour Figeac is a biodynamically farmed Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé with around 14 to 15 hectares of vines. The vineyard lies on a mix of gravel, sandy clay and deeper clay soils on the boundary with the Pomerol plateau. Roughly two-thirds of the plantings are Merlot and one-third Cabernet Franc, with an average vine age of about thirty-five years. Grapes are picked by hand, vinified plot by plot in concrete and stainless-steel vats and aged in barrels with a moderate proportion of new oak. The bouquet reveals ripe red and black berries, cherry and plum with violet, herbs and a touch of graphite. On the palate La Tour Figeac is silky and juicy yet precise, with fine tannins, vibrant acidity and a long, elegant finish that clearly reflects its limestone-influenced terroir. | |
