| Citadelle No Mistake Old Tom is a modern take on the historic Old Tom style, built on a base of gin aged in various casks and enriched with toasted, barrel-aged cane sugar. The underlying spirit is Citadelle Réserve, which rests in wood before the caramelised sugar is blended in and the gin is matured further. On the nose it shows citrus peel, juniper, almonds and anise alongside caramel, nutmeg and cinnamon. The palate is smooth, generous and gently sweet, with floral and fruity notes wrapped in warming spice. The sweetness remains finely judged, supporting rather than masking the botanicals. A long, spicy finish makes No Mistake a superb choice for Tom Collins, Martinez or rich, Old Fashioned–style gin cocktails. | |
