Altitude and cool breezes allow for a long ripening season and give the wine its lifted, elegant profile. The bouquet offers redcurrant, cherry and pomegranate alongside blood orange, wild herbs, smoke and a hint of graphite. On the palate it is slender yet driven, with fine, firm tannins and vibrant, salty acidity. The texture brings to mind top cool-climate Pinot Noir, while the distinctive volcanic minerality adds depth and gravitas. The long finish weaves together red fruit, spice and smoky nuances.
