BrandJean-Marc Brocard
RegionEurope - France - Burgundy - Burgundy - Chablis
CategoryWines - White wine

Jean‑Marc Brocard’s Chablis Premier Cru Montmains comes from the left bank of the Serein, where cool exposures and classic Kimmeridgian limestone soils create wines of real tension. The nose shows citrus, grapefruit and white flowers alongside subtle anise, a touch of smokiness and a clear saline edge. On the palate the wine is dense yet tightly focused, with lively acidity and pronounced chalky minerality. A silky texture carries layers of lemon, grapefruit zest and gentle herbal notes. The finish is long, mouth-watering and distinctly salty, recalling oyster shells and wet stone. A complex, age‑worthy Premier Cru that shines with refined fish dishes, shellfish or precise vegetable cuisine.
