The nose is complex, with quince, walnut, honey, acacia blossom and hints of ginger over a mineral backbone. On the palate Chante-Alouette is round, elegant and layered, showing supple texture, well-judged acidity and a long, almond-accented finish. Its harmony of richness and tension makes it a benchmark white Hermitage for fine fish, shellfish, sauced poultry and flavourful vegetable dishes. | |
