| Château Les Grandes Murailles is a tiny Grand Cru Classé in Saint‑Émilion, with just under two hectares of vines on the famous limestone plateau close to Clos Fourtet. The vineyard is planted almost entirely with Merlot rooted in sandy‑clay soils over solid limestone, giving naturally low yields. Everything is hand harvested and vinified in small lots before careful ageing in French oak. The bouquet offers ripe red and black fruit, floral notes and a distinct chalky edge. On the palate Les Grandes Murailles is silky yet structured, with cool fruit, fine limestone‑driven tannins, bright acidity and a long, very elegant finish. | |
