Château Haut Plantey Saint Emilion gc. 1979 0,75l

Château Haut-Plantey is a small Saint-Émilion Grand Cru whose parcels include limestone-rich sites close to the plateau around Troplong Mondot. The vineyard is planted mainly with Merlot supported by Cabernet Franc and a little Cabernet Sauvignon. Clay-limestone soils give both structure and plenty of juicy fruit. The bouquet offers red and black berries, cherry and plum with subtle herbal and spicy nuances. On the palate Château Haut-Plantey is succulent and approachable, with soft tannins, gentle acidity and a harmonious, charming finish that captures the easy-drinking, classic style of Saint-Émilion Grand Cru.
