Château Grand Corbin-Despagne is a long-standing family estate and Grand Cru Classé in the northern sector of Saint-Émilion, close to the Pomerol border. Its vineyards lie on sandy-clay soils with iron deposits and streaks of blue clay and have been fully organic for many years. Merlot accounts for the majority of the plantings, complemented by Cabernet Franc and a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon. The bouquet reveals red and black berries, cherry and plum with floral hints, herbs and gentle spice. On the palate Grand Corbin-Despagne is juicy and finely structured, with ripe, polished tannins, fresh acidity and a long, balanced finish that underlines its elegant style.
