The Gelber Muskateller from Erbhof Bayer in Donnerskirchen grows on the limestone-influenced slopes of the Leithaberg and presents the variety in an especially fragrant style. The bouquet is dominated by intense aromas of muscat grapes, citrus fruits, elderflower and subtle tropical notes. On the palate the wine is light-footed, very fresh and uplifting, with juicy fruit and a firm yet well-integrated acidity. The mineral soils near Lake Neusiedl add extra tension and a delicate spicy touch on the finish. This Muscat is perfect as an aperitif, with light starters, Asian-inspired cuisine or aromatic salads. A joyful, precise white wine that clearly reflects the character of this traditional family estate.
