Faiveley Latricières Chambertin gc. 1998 0,75l

Latricières Chambertin Grand Cru from Domaine Faiveley comes from a cool, stony sector of Gevrey Chambertin with limestone rich soils. The terroir produces a Pinot Noir that unites power, tension and remarkable finesse. The nose reveals red and dark berries, sour cherry, floral aromas and finely tuned spice. On the palate the wine is dense, silky and precise, carried by a firm, mineral backbone. Ripe, ultra fine tannins provide structure without weight. Vibrant acidity drives the fruit and underlines the wine’s excellent ageing potential. A great grand cru to serve with game, top quality beef or mature cheeses.

The grape variety: Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir is a refined red grape known for red cherry, raspberry, floral notes, spice and silky tannins. It is most famous in Burgundy but thrives in many cool-climate regions.

It pairs beautifully with duck, roast chicken, mushrooms, salmon, pork and game birds. Its fascination lies in finesse, fragrance and the way it expresses origin. Pinot Noir
