Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru Les Porêts Saint-Georges from Domaine Faiveley comes from a historic vineyard long associated with the family. The bouquet shows ripe black fruits, blackberry and black cherry along with roasted notes, hints of smoke and graphite. On the palate the wine is initially round and fleshy, then gradually reveals its powerful structure and tightly knit tannins. Lively acidity adds tension and underlines the wine’s excellent ageing potential. A characterful premier cru that pairs beautifully with slow-cooked dishes, game, mature hard cheeses or intensely flavoured mushroom recipes.

Sixteen months in French oak with a high proportion of new oak integrates ripe fruit and spice notes into a harmonious structure.
