Faiveley Nuits Saint Georges 1c.Les Pruliers 2019 0,75l

Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru Les Pruliers from Domaine Faiveley comes from a stony, clay-rich site to the south of the village, renowned for producing structured, age-worthy Pinot Noir. The bouquet offers dark cherry, blackberry and red-berry fruit wrapped in toasty oak, subtle spice and a hint of smoke. On the palate the wine is dense and concentrated, with a juicy core of fruit and a clearly defined earthy, mineral backbone. Tannins are powerful yet ripe and silky, while the lively acidity is beautifully integrated. With aeration, notes of liquorice and dried herbs emerge to add further complexity. This is a characterful premier cru that shines alongside braised beef, lamb, game birds or mature hard cheeses.

Maturation in oak barrels supports red fruit, floral notes and a spicy finish, without specifying a fixed ageing period.

The grape variety: Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir is a refined red grape known for red cherry, raspberry, floral notes, spice and silky tannins. It is most famous in Burgundy but thrives in many cool-climate regions.

It pairs beautifully with duck, roast chicken, mushrooms, salmon, pork and game birds. Its fascination lies in finesse, fragrance and the way it expresses origin. Pinot Noir
