Fuhrgassl-Huber

In Neustift am Walde, Vienna, Fuhrgassl-Huber shapes a distinctive dialogue between urban wine culture and the cool edge of the Wienerwald. The estate in its modern form was built by Ernst and Gerti Huber in the 1970s, while the family’s winegrowing roots reach back much further into the history of this village on the city’s green fringe.

Most vineyards lie in Neustift, with additional parcels on the Nussberg and in Grinzing. Cool air currents, stony loam and soils with a more restrained limestone content encourage slow ripening and a precise sense of origin. Wiener Gemischter Satz DAC, Riesling, Grüner Veltliner, Neuburger and Pinot varieties are crafted with careful cellar work rather than showmanship.

Fuhrgassl-Huber represents Viennese wine at its most authentic: cultivated, hospitable and deeply rooted in place.
