Meursault 1er Cru Les Santenots blanc from La Commaraine is a characterful Chardonnay from the Côte de Beaune. The vines grow on clay-limestone soils with south-east exposure, combining richness with tension. Aromas of ripe citrus, yellow apple, stone fruit and subtle toasted notes rise from the glass. On the palate the wine is dense and creamy, yet carried by vibrant acidity. A salty mineral backbone gives drive and length. It is an excellent partner for fine fish, scallops, poultry in cream sauce or rich soft cheeses.

Twelve months in large oak casks/foudres give this Chardonnay structure and a fine frame for freshness and citrus notes.
