Pol Roger Champagne Brut Vintage 2018 1,5l in gift box
Brut Vintage Vinothèque from Pol Roger is the cellar‑aged expression of the house’s iconic vintage cuvée. The blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay is sourced from selected Grand and Premier Cru vineyards on the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs. After long maturation on lees, the bottles return to the deep, cool cellars for an additional ageing period. The nose opens with aromas of candied citrus, dried yellow fruit, cocoa, mocha and delicate pastry notes. On the palate the Champagne is powerful yet silky, combining stone fruit and acacia honey with citrus zest, roasted nuts and a saline, lingering finish. Uncorked for fine seafood, poultry or as a luxurious aperitif, it invites slow, contemplative drinking.
In Épernay, Pol Roger was born from a family’s quiet courage: in 1849 the young founder chose measured precision over spectacle, and restraint became the House’s lasting signature. Beneath the chalk walls, the rhythm is patient—pupitres, remuage, and long calm weeks where nothing is rushed. Generations later, the family still guards that line—trusting time in the cellar, and the intimate craft of weaving vintages into a steadfast identity, where greatness is felt in nuance rather than announced....

The grape variety: Pinot Noir
Pinot Noir is a refined red grape known for red cherry, raspberry, floral notes, spice and silky tannins. It is most famous in Burgundy but thrives in many cool-climate regions.
It pairs beautifully with duck, roast chicken, mushrooms, salmon, pork and game birds. Its fascination lies in finesse, fragrance and the way it expresses origin.
