Prieur Beaune Grèves rouge 1c. 2020 0,75l

Beaune 1er Cru Grèves Rouge from Domaine Jacques Prieur comes from one of the most renowned Premier Cru vineyards of the appellation, characterised by sandy, stony soils. The nose offers red cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry alongside hints of dried herbs, fine toast and forest floor. On the palate the wine is silky and juicy yet deep, with ripe, polished tannins and lively acidity. A delicate, chalky minerality carries the long, harmonious finish and gives a distinct sense of place. A classic Premier Cru partner for lamb, roast poultry or mushroom‑based dishes. With some bottle age it gains further complexity and silky elegance.

Prieur

In Burgundy’s Grand Cru heartland, Prieur is shorthand for a rare mosaic: as Domaine Jacques Prieur in Meursault, the estate has, since 1868, assembled parcels across both the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits—from Montrachet to Chambertin and Musigny....

The grape variety: Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir is a refined red grape known for red cherry, raspberry, floral notes, spice and silky tannins. It is most famous in Burgundy but thrives in many cool-climate regions.

It pairs beautifully with duck, roast chicken, mushrooms, salmon, pork and game birds. Its fascination lies in finesse, fragrance and the way it expresses origin. Pinot Noir
