CategoryWines - White wine

For Connoisseurs: Prieur Meursault Perrières from Bourgogne 1er cru
Prieur Meursault Perrières Premier Cru comes from one of the most famous sites of the Côte de Beaune. Chardonnay vines grow here on stony, limestone-rich soils that create remarkable tension and finesse. The bouquet combines citrus zest, white flowers and juicy stone fruit with hints of anise, roasted almonds and candied orange peel. On the palate the wine is concentrated, precise and extremely elegant, driven by a lively, cutting acidity. The texture is creamy yet never heavy and stays focused to the finish. Fine, chalky minerality carries through into a very long, savoury and slightly salty aftertaste. This Premier Cru is a superb match for shellfish, fine fish, scallops or mature soft cheeses.
