Prieur Musigny gc. 2013 0,75l

Prieur Musigny Grand Cru comes from one of the most prestigious vineyards of the Côte de Nuits. Pinot Noir vines grow in a small, stony parcel with a particularly warm microclimate. The bouquet shows complex aromas of blackcurrant and blueberry layered with subtle toasted notes, hints of violet and forest floor. On the palate the wine is dense, silky and incredibly deep, with ripe, perfectly integrated tannins. Lively acidity keeps the generous concentration in balance and adds great freshness. Distinct site-driven minerality gives the wine tension and an almost endless finish. This Grand Cru is a truly great bottle for celebratory occasions and pairs beautifully with fine game, pigeon or slow-braised beef dishes.

Prieur

In Burgundy’s Grand Cru heartland, Prieur is shorthand for a rare mosaic: as Domaine Jacques Prieur in Meursault, the estate has, since 1868, assembled parcels across both the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits—from Montrachet to Chambertin and Musigny....

The grape variety: Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir is a refined red grape known for red cherry, raspberry, floral notes, spice and silky tannins. It is most famous in Burgundy but thrives in many cool-climate regions.

It pairs beautifully with duck, roast chicken, mushrooms, salmon, pork and game birds. Its fascination lies in finesse, fragrance and the way it expresses origin. Pinot Noir
