After many years in oak, the single-vintage spirit opens with aromas of orange peel, ripe apricot, dried fruits and honey, framed by caramel and gentle spice. On the palate the Cognac is supple, powerful and beautifully balanced. Flavours of sultanas, dried peaches, soft toffee and oak spice mingle with a subtle nutty note. Bottling at cask strength adds depth and length without disturbing the harmony. The persistent finish shows warm fruit, sweet spice and a touch of rancio.
