Rodolfo Cosimi Terra Rossa Rosso di Montalcino 2023 0,75l

Rodolfo Cosimi Terra Rossa Rosso di Montalcino is sourced from the same high-lying vineyards around Il Poggiolo as the estate’s Brunello. Sangiovese Grosso grows on sandy loam with clay and marl and is refined in barriques before release. The bouquet is pleasantly fresh and fruit-driven, with notes of cherries, red berries and gentle spice. On the palate the wine is juicy and intense yet highly drinkable, offering good body and present but ripe tannins. Lively acidity adds tension and precision. A long, spicy-fruity finish rounds off the experience. This Rosso is an all-rounder with pasta and ragù, poultry or Mediterranean dishes.

The grape variety: Sangiovese Grosso

Sangiovese Grosso is a structured Tuscan expression of the Sangiovese family, associated with wines of depth, cherry fruit, spice and ageing potential.

It pairs with steak, lamb, wild boar ragù, mushrooms, truffle dishes and aged pecorino. A serious choice for lovers of classic Italian reds. Sangiovese Grosso
