Tua Rita

With Tua Rita in Suvereto, in Tuscany’s Alta Maremma, a quiet revolution began in 1984. Rita Tua and Virgilio Bisti bought a small property in Notri, first out of love for land and olive oil; it soon became one of the defining estates of the Costa Toscana.

Between the Tyrrhenian Sea, hills and mineral soils, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Sangiovese, Petit Verdot and Vermentino grow in a landscape where warmth meets sea air. The first Giusto di Notri was bottled in 1992, while Redigaffi made the estate’s uncompromising pursuit of ripeness, density and precision known worldwide.

Despite international fame, Tua Rita remains a family project. Simena, Stefano and the next generation now carry the path forward: low yields, selective picking, careful élevage and a Toscana IGT language that understands power not as weight, but as concentrated energy.
