| Vega Sicilia Valbuena 5 is the more approachable interpretation of this iconic estate in Ribera del Duero and is based mainly on Tinto Fino with a small share of other varieties. On the nose it offers blackberries, blueberries and black cherries alongside plum, a touch of dried fig, forest floor and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate the wine is concentrated yet silky, with dense fruit, balsamic nuances and fine spicy notes from ageing in oak. Chalky, ripe tannins and a vibrant acidity keep the powerful body in perfect balance. The long finish recalls cocoa, tobacco, red berries and a distinct mineral edge.
