Domaine Belleville Mercurey rouge1c. Clos l'Evêque 2023 0,75l

Belleville Mercurey rouge 1er Cru Clos l’Eveque comes from a walled Premier Cru site in Mercurey, where old Pinot Noir vines are known to produce particularly dense and complex wines. The grapes are carefully hand‑harvested and gently vinified before the wine is matured in oak barrels. On the nose it offers aromas of red and dark forest berries, cherries and wild raspberries, supported by notes of violet, sweet spice and finely integrated oak. On the palate this Clos l’Eveque is full‑bodied, finely textured and very well balanced, with ripe tannins and fresh but unobtrusive acidity. Flavours range from juicy fruit to subtle toasted nuances and a long, mineral‑driven finish. This Premier Cru is a perfect match for braised duck, rack of lamb, veal loin or classic mushroom dishes of French cuisine.

The grape variety: Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir is a refined red grape known for red cherry, raspberry, floral notes, spice and silky tannins. It is most famous in Burgundy but thrives in many cool-climate regions.

It pairs beautifully with duck, roast chicken, mushrooms, salmon, pork and game birds. Its fascination lies in finesse, fragrance and the way it expresses origin. Pinot Noir
