Sourced from the hills surrounding the Castello di Brolio in Gaiole, this Chianti Classico clearly carries the Barone Ricasoli signature. Vines grow on a mix of typical Tuscan soils such as galestro and alberese, lending both structure and finesse. The bouquet opens with juicy cherry, red berries and violets, followed by hints of dried herbs, tobacco and gentle spice. On the palate, this Sangiovese-based wine is medium-bodied, focused and lively, with fresh acidity and well-integrated, ripe tannins. Fruit remains bright and juicy while subtle notes of clove and a touch of cedar add complexity. The finish is long, dry and elegant, marked by the vibrant freshness that defines classic Chianti. A refined food wine that pairs wonderfully with pasta in ragù, grilled meats, roasts and aged Pecorino.
