Cachat Ocquidant Ladoix Blanc 2023 Les Buis, 0,75l

BrandCachat Ocquidant
RegionEurope - France - Burgundy
CategoryWines - White wine

Ladoix Blanc Les Buis from Cachat-Ocquidant comes from a higher‑lying site at the foot of the Corton hill and showcases a tense, mineral style of Chardonnay. The stony, limestone‑rich soils give the wine finesse, drive and a precise citrus‑led fruit profile. On the nose, candied lemon, grapefruit zest and ripe apple are joined by floral hints and light brioche notes. The palate is both concentrated and taut, with juicy acidity, pronounced mineral grip and a creamy texture derived from careful barrel ageing. Citrus flavours carry through into the long, focused finish, where a subtle saline touch adds extra vibrancy. Compared with a simple village wine, Les Buis shows more depth and structure, yet always remains elegant and fresh. A characterful single‑site Chardonnay that pairs beautifully with fine fish, scallops or poultry in butter‑based sauces.
