| Chianti Classico Riserva from Castellare di Castellina builds on the estate’s classic Chianti style but offers greater depth and ageing capacity. Selected Sangiovese grapes are aged longer in wooden casks and in bottle, resulting in a denser structure and more complex aromas. The bouquet shows dark cherry, blackberry and plum alongside violet, tobacco, leather and hints of vanilla and chocolate. On the palate the Riserva is concentrated, with ripe, firm tannins, lively acidity and a long, spicy, balsamic‑tinged finish. It is an excellent match for braised beef, game, lamb, hearty pasta dishes and aged Pecorino or Parmigiano. | |
