Grattamacco L’Alberello Bolgheri Rosso Superiore comes from low‑yielding bush‑trained vines on breezy coastal slopes. Planted at high density on sandy, limestone‑rich soils, they produce a concentrated blend based mainly on Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The nose is intense and refined, with cassis, dark berries, cherry and clove, framed by herbal spice and stony minerality. On the palate the wine is rich and tightly knit yet elegant, showing sweet dark fruit, fine, firm tannins and impressive depth. Fresh acidity and a long, savoury finish underline its ageing potential. A serious Bolgheri Rosso to pour with roast lamb, game dishes or richly flavoured cheeses.

Sixteen months in barriques concentrates fruit and spice and gives the wine a finely structured frame.
