Oreno from Tenuta Sette Ponti is a Tuscan blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot that combines richness with refined elegance. The vines grow on clay and limestone soils in the hills near Arezzo, giving the wine power, spice and structure. The bouquet is intense, with blackberries, blackcurrant and dark cherries wrapped in notes of vanilla, dark chocolate, roasted nuts and fine spices. On the palate Oreno is full bodied, dense and velvety, with soft, ripe tannins and generous yet well balanced fruit. Fresh acidity keeps the wine lively, while the finish is long with lingering chocolate and spice. This modern, opulent Super Tuscan is an excellent partner for braised beef, game, lamb and richly sauced pasta dishes.
Ageing in French oak gives the powerful Oreno additional structure, spice and depth.
